  • Now with many of the outside body mods made it was time to move to the engine
First thing that needed to be done was degrease the engine block, valve cover and air breahter cover.
We want to paint engine black and the valve and air breahter cover pink.
Yes, I wanted that LIA Magazine color theme running through the truck!

  • Of course to keep this automotive sport going you need to make it fun for the grandkids!
Adam was a huge help in cleaning out the inside of the cab.
We are preparing it to install Dynamat and Dynaliner.

  • Crystal and Jerry did the work at installing the majority of the Dynamat in the cab.
Just an FYI for those you that don't know, you can also cut the Dyunamt with scissors.

  • Here are the materials we installed in the Cab. It is also nice to have the gloves.
I cut myself many times on the foil when not wearing them. The heavy duty rolling tool works great!

  • With the engine block and covers all clean it was time to put the touchup paint gun
in the hands of my husband. Yes, he was very nervous to use a gun for the very first time!
Watching him paint was fun because he looked like an absolute pro doing the job!
I guess all those years of painting model cars with a paint can paid off for us!

  • Once everything was dry we all were anxious to see how the engine bay would look.
I have to say that it is exactly how I imagined it would look! Good job guys!!

  • Next thing before we attached the valve cover was to clean up the bolts.
I decided to put the bolts in a container of degreaser and use a toothbrush.
While I was working on that John put the gasket on the valve cover.
Next was time to put the valve cover on and attach all the disassembled engine parts.
    Everthing is almost together...yippee!

  • We have one last thing to do before we relinquish the truck to the hands of Greg Budreau at Auto Specialty.
We need to install the seat belts and seat. Of course once we got done with that I cleaned up the truck!
Before dropping the truck off John and I took it for a test drive. What a great feeling!
We owe all the help rides as well!!

  • Now the truck mods are complete and ready to go down to Auto Specialty
Once Greg is finished the graphics shop is next then it will be time to hit the road in the LIA Mag truck!
