To start with, the car was in very good shape and the previous owner had already started on the renovation by restoring the beautiful birds eye Maple wood back to like new condition. It was then decided to put the car in the capable hands of Master Car Builder Fred Graefe III of F & F Speed Shop of White Hall, Md. A Total Cost Involved chassis was in order to be able to handle the big horsepower from the potent Roush motor that was planned to be stuffed under the hood. A Ford 9" with 3.55:1 gears and Currie axles were positioned into place, with everything detailed in 304 stainless where ever needed. Airbags from ridetech, ( Air Ride Technologies ) was chosen for a better ride out back, with the option of laying it down when the need arises. A Heidt's Super Ride front suspension was installed with billet coil over springs, while a Mustang power rack and pinion steering brings it all together. Wilwood 13" brakes were used all the way around for those sudden stops. Finishing up the chassis is a set of Dayton Wire Wheels, 17" x 7" up front and 20" x 8" out back all wrapped with Diamond Back custom made white wall tires.

One of the most challenging parts of the buildup was fitting the healthy Roush motor under the hood and making it look like Henry Ford had built it. It's a 427 IR fuel injected small block pumping out 560 horses with torque in the 550 range @ 5500 rpm. A set of 1 7/8" custom made headers with 304 stainless exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers help exit all the spent gases. All this power is transferred to the rear wheels with the help of a Ford 2006 AODE tranny from TCI, with a Lokar shifter selecting the proper gears.
