After all the years of the '66 sitting idle and collecting dust, it was time for Dan to do something with the body. The body was in pretty good condition, however the paint was terrible. The chrome was shot and the interior was home to hundreds of mice. Once Dan got the body void of any imperfections, he squirted on Onyx water base silver blue metallic paint. Last but not least was to get rid of the mouse house on the inside, so an interior from TMI Products which included seat covers for the front and rear, and door panels were installed by Dan along with new carpeting from Miami Corp. The stock steering wheel was retained and refinished, while stock replacement seat belts were installed, even extra belts in the back to keep the kiddo's safe. You have to have a stereo system in a family hot rod, so Dan installed an Alpine unit with 4" speakers up front while 6" x 9" speakers take up residency in the rear.
