Some individuals who love going to car shows to look at all the cool custom cars, hot rods, trucks and muscle cars may not have any idea what really goes into a build, especially a home built custom car. Well, the owner of this cool custom ’54 Studebaker Commander knows exactly what goes into a full custom build. Let me introduce you to Kasia Jones from West Seneca, NY who knows exactly what goes into a build. Kasia also known as “Kat” built this Commander in just 11 months, in a one car garage which is amazing when you consider all of the modifications and work that went into this build. While in Ohio exploring a gentleman’s collection, “Kat was on the Prowl” for another build when she noticed this ’54 Stew and instantly fell in love with the bodylines. The previous owner had the car stashed in his personal garage just in primer. Kat has always been involved with cars, however, she had her hands on EVERYTHING in this build. Kat’s significant other, Jim Gaczewski who is very knowledgeable in building cars mentored Kat throughout the build. Kat did the welding, body, paint, and wiring along with building the engine plus all the mechanicals.
