A custom hand built chassis was made out of 2 x 4 boxed tubing with a 112 inch wheel base. An independent front suspension by Street Rod Garage, out of Grant Alabama, was installed using Mustang II spindles and a rack-n-pinion steering. Out back sits a Ford 9 inch Posi Trac with a 355:1 gear ratio, Moser 31 spline axles plus 24 inch ladder bars. For handling the variables on the road, in all four corners is a set of Coil Over Pro Shocks plus Wilwood Disc Brakes to handle all those unexpected stops. A CPP master cylinder and booster were installed to make sure all the braking fluid is released to all the right places. Dressing out the chassis is a set of C5 Coy Chrome Wheels, 18 x 8s up front and 20 x 14s out back all wrapped in Mickey Thompson SR Radial rubber.

They decided that a 350 LS1 engine would be the go juice for the '57 Shoebox. Auto Performance, from Montgomery Alabama, handled all the machine work. Cindy's husband, Noniel, was responsible for all the assembly of the small block. A Weiand intake and a set of carbon fiber valve covers dresses out the engine bay. Topping off the LS1 engine is a Street & Performance Air Cleaner. A set of Hooker Headers helps exit the spent gasses out through a 2 ½ inch custom exhaust system with SpinTech mufflers. Transferring all the power through an aluminum drive shaft outback to the Ford 9 inch is a GM 4L60E tranny with a push button Smart Shift shifter. Keeping the LS1 cool is handled by a Griffin Aluminum radiator.
