Many of the Goodguys Shows in past years had nostalgia drag racing to enjoy at the shows. Speeding up to the current shows there are only a few shows that still have drag racing. The Nostalgia Nationals has a little bit of everything for all. You can view your show cars, ones that are for sale if you are in the mood to be purchasing something to begin a new or another project. There are plenty of vendors/exhibitors on hand if you are in need of parts to complete your current project.
This show still has the nostalgia drag racing, which is such fun to watch at the beautiful scenery surrounding the grounds in the hills and hollars. Drag racing isn’t your thing then instead of watching racing, people can be entertained with the cars and owners pushing the limits with their vehicles on the road courses at the show. This is what the Goodguys Staff commonly call Autocrossing. Yes, this is enjoyable to watch, however, there is even more to take away from this activity.
The drivers behind the steering wheel says it teaches them to be a better driver everyday on our roadways. This activity also demonstrates what products withstand the abuse a person’s vehicle might have to withstand not just at the show but also on a daily basis.
The staff have the usual awards: Homebuilt Heaven, Mighty Muscle, Trick Truck, Builders Choice, Ya Gotta Drive Em, 25 & Younger, Duce Doing, 40 Fords Forever, etc. We had not been to this show and was missing seeing some old time racing along with the rest of the show festivities...What fun we had! Attend the show next year!!
